Resolved Question: What type of bath for a small bathroom?
We are about to renovate our family bathroom. It's quite tiny (260 x 176cm) and has just enough room for a bath, 76cm vanity and 83cm shower. My husband likes the idea of a freestanding bath which is nice but I believe suited to bathrooms with more space. I think we should stay with the built in bath. I'd appreciate anyones opinion on this.

Resolved Question: care plan and nursing report?
Word limit: 1150 words Case Study You are a nurse working in a community centre. You have been asked to do a home visit on a new client who has been referred to the centre following a fall. Although the client received only superficial injuries, his local doctor has referred him to the centre for assessment and follow-up care if needed. Mr Smith’s wife has recently died. You have been supplied with the following information by the local doctor: The client: Mr Henry SMITH Date of birth: 27th January 1935 Address: 15 Amber Way, Jacksonville Age:75 years Past Medical History: Nil hospital admissions; history of hypertension for past five years Height:1.75m Weight:60 kg Observations: B.P: 145/90; T: 36.5oC; P: 68; R: 16; O2 Sats: 96% Current Medical History: Abrasions to left elbow and outer aspect of left thigh from a fall in the bathroom at home. No other relevant history. When you arrive at Mr Smith’s address, you find a neat freestanding home with three steps up to a tiny front verandah. Mr Smith meets you at the door and after introducing yourself, he invites you inside. You check Mr Smith’s dressings and look that they are clean, dry and intact with no ooze, the instructions are to leave them intact till next week. On examination, Mr Smith appears pale and gaunt, is slightly dishevelled, his clothes are soiled and unironed and seem to be too big for him. He has obvious body odour. He is alert and oriented. You take a set of observations with the following results: T 36.50C; P 64; R 16; BP 145/85; SaO2 95%. Mr Smith states he isn’t eating very well and finds it difficult to prepare meals since his wife died. He tells you that she used to do every the cooking and they would do the shopping together, now he “can’t be bothered” going to the shops and generally has a cup of tea and some toast for most meals. When his daughter visits, once every couple of weeks, she leaves him with some meals which he manages to heat up in the microwave. He used to play bowls but finds it too lonely now as he used to play doubles with his wife as his playing partner so he hasn’t been back to the bowling club since his wife died. You ask if you can have a look around the home and he agrees. You find it consists of three bedrooms, every fairly clean, the floors are polished timber with mats in the hall and in each room. In the lounge room, you notice the power cord to the television runs across the floor and there is a tiny heater placed close the door, its cord comes from the same power point and crosses in front of the seat Mr Smith uses. In the kitchen, you find the fridge with some milk, butter and two bottles of beer. In the freezer there is an unopened packet of frozen vegetables and a loaf of bread. There doesn’t appear to be any other food in the kitchen. The bathroom has a bath with a separate shower, toilet and tiny sink. When you have finished inspecting the home, you sit down with Mr Smith and ask him about his diet and hygiene needs. He repeats that he doesn’t feel like eating and knows there isn’t much food in the home but states he gets by on bread and butter. He says he doesn’t wash every day, maybe once a week because the bath is too difficult to receive into and out of and he has difficulty standing for long enough in the shower. He also states it is too icy in the bathroom to have a shower. He has difficulty washing his clothes as his wife did every that for him and he’s not sure how to use the machine. Anyway, he doesn’t do much so his clothes don’t really receive dirty. He says “lately I don’t have enough energy to do very much at every”. THE ASSIGNMENT: Part 1 Collate the over data into the domains of health and identify one (only) nursing issue. For this nursing issue, develop a goal, interventions which will enable you to reach the goal and provide rationales for each of the interventions. Part 2 Write a report about your visit and your findings. Please do not make up any information and follow the guidelines for report writing as outlines by Crisp and Taylor (p. 356, 2009). Please check in the Learning Guide for more detailed information. Good luck. From the case study , select one family member, identify one (1) Nursing Problem (Issue) and design and rationalise individual care for that person. This isto include identification of one Nursing Issue which will need at least one goal, strategies (actions) to meet the goal and rationales, explaining how eachof these strategies will help achieve the goal identified. Strategies and rationales need to be evidence based; t herefore accurate referencing of nursing literature is required. Individualised Care Design ¨C (word length 1000 words). To be typed, using table format. Nursing Report ¨C (word length, maximum 150 words). To be hand written, demonstrating legal aspects of nursing documentation.Implementation the care plan shoule to be identif the nursing issue and to set up a gole and then do a table i

Resolved Question: Black granite sinks with a white freestanding bathtub?
I'm having a new home built. I would like a Zen bath with a black granite sinks. I'm afraid that it will not look good with a white freestanding bathtub. I can't find design ideas or pictures. What do you think about that color combination? Black sinks with a white tub or is it better to go with white porcelain sinks?

Resolved Question: Why do people put thier loo role dispensers in such stupid places?
Firstly, I have a gripe with supermarket loos. They put the loo role dispenser on on the side where the door opens and if you are any more than a size 8 (UK) you have to battle to squeeze past it to sit on the loo. Then the people who have their dispensers on the wall just behind your shoulder, how easy is that to receive hold of? Loo roll over the cistern behind you? The other day I visited someone who had the loo at one end of the bath and the freestanding loo roll dispenser on the floor at the other end of the bath!!! Does this exasperate anyone else? And the next question is.... When I have spent the last 30 years knowing perfectly well the difference between "role" and "roll" why have I suddely got them mixed up? LOL

Resolved Question: Ugliest bathroom ever. What to do?
My bathroom is so tiny and boring. Its completely white, with a freestanding sink, ugly and discoloured white bath tub, and a white toilet. Its pretty limited for space, but I have seen smaller. Its 7x4 of useable space(minus the bathtub and linen closet, which take up half the room), and the sink and toilet occupy some of that space. I'm renting so I'm not allowed to paint the walls or put a new light fixture, so I'm sort of stuck with the white. Right now I have an extra black framed mirror and a black shower curtain and a black stand to put things in because we have no cupboards or anything. Someone help, I'm so sick of this bathroom, every the other rooms in my apartment are beautiful but it seems like I can never do anything with the bedroom it make it look better! I've taken some pictures so you can receive a better idea of the room. http://raelene05.piczo.com/?g=10909126&preview=y&cr=3

I am looking to purchase one of these, and was wondering what it is like to live with a bath measuring 1200mm x 760mm. Apparently these baths have an owners club? Good value?

Resolved Question: Suggestions for bathroom layout and design please?
Hello, I'm designing the layout of our eventual home. After its done, I'll take it to an architect and have them draw it up for real so it can be built. However, my husband has decided to make things difficult on me. Not in a bad way, just in a "our tastes don't match" way so I'm trying to find something that will suit both of us. Yes, this is very odd. I'm a girl and I prefer sleek and modern. He's a guy, and he prefers country style. You'd think it would be the other way around. Our bedroom looks something like this... http://www.sleighbedstore.com/prodimages-cdls/vba/vba-960-553-set2-L.jpg He bought the set before we got together. Its a nice set, don't receive me wrong. But I don't think I'd have really chosen it for myself. I'd have chosen something more like this... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/516ljpY9GIL._SL500_AA300_.jpg Honestly, in most of the home, its fairly easy to accommodate this both for our tastes. The difficult part seems to be the master bath. I want a glass vessel sink or a porcelain undermount with a granite countertop with dark colors for things like the cabinet and light walls. Somehow, though, I don't think this idea would fit with his style and I really want him to like it too. I'd like to create a spa effect, but I honestly am having a heck of a time finding things for it that I know both of us would like. I know this is a broad question, but do you guys have any ideas? Keep in mind, he's 6 feet tall. I'm 5 feet tall. So we need to find something that will help us meet in the middle. I simply loath our current bathroom. The sink is too high for me and was put in the cabinet 6 inches from the edge (wth were they thinking when they did that) when the standard is 4 inches. But for HIM, he says the cabinet is too short for him and he wishes it were taller. Not sure what to do here. I know he won't like a freestanding sink, but I don't want a traditional set up with the sink mounted on top of the vanity like I've seen in every other home ever. What do you think?

Resolved Question: Mother-in-law saw me naked! What should i do?
My wife and I moved back to where she is from. We are both looking for work so in the meantime we are living with her parents. They gave us the entire finished basement with a half bath. Her dad built a freestanding shower in the unfinished laundry room. I was showering and opened the doors and stepped out to reach for a towel and there not 2 feet in from of me is my mom-in-law sorting laundry. I was completely naked, full monty. She had also taken every the towels to wash them so i was also towel less. She had to cease the dryer and receive me one, every the while i am standing butt naked. What should i do? We have no privacy. Should I just giggle it off and deal with it until we move in a couple months? Should i say something ( they have gone sooooo far out of their way to help us I feel bad complaining about anything)?
